The initiative for the creation belongs to N.S. Khrushchev. The opening of the only Cable railway in the Far East took place in 1962, citizens immediately appreciated the convenience of this type of electric transport, making trips around Vladivostok, known for its difficult "hill" relief. The Cable railway network, which is part of the intracity public transport system, is 183 meters long. Cable railway passengers can enjoy the opening views of the Golden Horn not only on the way, but also from the observation deck created at the upper station.
